Pete Woolley, veteran turkey hunter and callmaker, will give a nuts and
bolts presentation on hunting the wild turkey with both the shotgun and
archery equipment. Many people miss out on a great “big game” hunting
opportunity by not knowing the reality of hunting turkeys in the spring
season. The hunt more closely resembles elk hunting during the rut than it
does bird hunting. Northern California has a burgeoning population of these
birds and many people have access to land that holds turkeys.
The talk will supply the information you’ll need to go out on your own or
maybe give you some new ideas if you’ve already tried it.
